Description of this exam Your exam is taken in a moderately complex care situation.

The carer monitors, supervises and encourages the client in maintaining psychosocial and social self-help skills. You encourage the client to direct his/her life and to maintain his/her identity and fulfilment of life as much as possible. You also counsel the client in dealing with and handling the consequences brought about by the handicap, disability, therapy or treatment. Provide guidance in psychosocial and social function, in maintaining and reinforcing the social network and entering into and maintaining contacts. Create the most optimal living environment possible for a group and include the next of kin and/or volunteers as required. Promote the most optimal group climate possible.
