Rev. Monica Driscoll ( Rev. Mo) was Rev. Nancy ’ s first mentor under Special Dispensation. She helped Nancy navigate the coursework, reporting and required progress interviews. She also assisted in the second round of psychological evaluations needed to achieve Licensed Unity Minister Status (June 2023). Rev. Mo is a certified Quantum Living Coach and Prayer Chaplain Trainer. She has been involved in Unity for over 30 years. She was ordained in 2012. A former Senior Minister for Unity Church of Christ in South New Jersey, Rev. Mo has spent the last seven years as a UWM Consultant, as well as serving as co - chair of the UWM Ethics Review Team. She is the author of a two - CD work on the breaking down of the Beatitudes 21st century style labeled “ States of Mind. ” Rev. Shawn Moninger became Rev. Nancy ’ s mentor once Licensed Unity Minister status was approved. He guided her through the additional coursework, a multitude of forms and reports, two six - month progress interviews, and the preparation for the final round of panel interviews needed to achieve approval for Ordination. Rev. Shawn was ordained at Unity Village in 2010. He has served as Minister of Unity Center of Norwalk and is the Founding President of Unity of New York. He is Chair of the Field Ministry Team of UWM and has co - emceed the International Convention of UWM for four years. In 2015, Shawn debuted his solo stand - up comedy show "Because I Can" at the Metropolitan Room in NYC, for which he received a Broadway World Award for Best Musical Comedy Performer and a MAC Award for Outstanding Spoken Word Artist. David Friedman is a musician as well as the author of The Thought Exchange Overcoming Our Resistance to Leading a Sensational Life. As a musician, his work includes well - known songs of hope and healing, as well as arranging and composing music for Broad way shows and numerous Classic Disney Movies, including the recent multi - platinum Bambi sequel, and recordings with artists such as Diana Ross, Barry Manilow, Petula Clark, and the late Nancy LaMott.
