APRIL 2018 BEACON

April is here and we are getting closer to opening up our island for another fun season of boating and camaraderie. Please make every effort to attend the Elite Brigade work parties which start April 14th. We will need lots of help as we begin removing and replacing the old siding on the clubhouse along with the other list of duties to make the island come alive. Exciting news……..P/C Denise Huntley along with P/C Bill Bauer are bringing back our Steer Roast for our “Fitting Out” weekend starting May 26th. The First mates will be hosting an appetizer patio party before the General membership meeting. We then have our General Membership meeting which starts at 1:00 PM, where you will get a chance to meet our new members, followed by the Steer Roast. We have entertainment planned that evening. On Sunday we will continue with our opening Flag raising ceremonies with a complementary luncheon to follow. Please mark your calendars for Ladies Week. It will be starting Sunday June 10th at 6:00 PM thru Thursday, June 14th after lunch. Look for future FanOuts for further information. We still need 2 weekday managers to fill our missing slots in September. Please try to get some member friends together to fill those two missing weeks and let Vicky or Dick Raymond know. (810-794-4850). There is still time to join over 60 of your fellow NCYC members for the Commodore’s Cruise in September. The cruise will take us from New York to Halifax, Nova Scotia along the east coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Please contact me if you are interested in joining us or have questions.
