Following that, their application is reviewed at the following board meeting and once approved, they are official NCYC members. Publications – Ron Draper Just renewed the Flipping Book subscription for $650 (software used for Beacon) for two years (saved 15%). NCYConline.com domain name was renewed last year for 3 years, nothing due on that. Most of the 2018 board and flag updates have been done to the website. Need Tom and Debbie to Requested that articles/fliers for this year’s Beacon get to Ron by the 25 th of each month (deadline) for the following month. Reoccurring emails will go out to the membership by the 18 th or 19 th as reminders. While working on website, came across several old Beacons that won’t open. Not stored correctly. Does anyone have any information about this? A number of old Beacons are not recoverable. As a result, any Beacons that show up on our website that cannot be opened will be deleted. Got a request by a member who was looking to review Board minutes from past Beacons and could not find them. This raised the question of storing meeting minutes and vital documents in a more secure, accessible manor. Suggested we get some permanent form of document storage (i.e. Cloud). Many documents are gone. Need to get a better form of document storage for meeting minutes. P/C Carroll requested an update to the email address for the flag, Ron noted already done. Is there a list of members in bad standings? Bylaws stipulate this needs to be posted on the bulletin board in the clubhouse. Need to come up with a plan. Darryl asked if there was a place in the website for this? To be discussed at the February board meeting. Secretary – Glenn Nixon Sent out copies for weekend OD schedules and we are in good shape for the first 7 weekends with the exception of Tom Altobelli’s weekend. Tom mentioned that everyone who was on Check and Sandy Stroh’s weekend would transfer to his weekend including Chuck and Sandy. Debbie needs to get Glen the member preferences for work weekends that will be mailed to Debbie with the annual dues. Weekend OD’s are all filled for the season. Glen will take on the responsibility of paid bartenders this year, so members need to see Glen if interested. Ron requested to meet with Glen to work on formatting the document used to list the weekend assignments in the Beacon and roster. get pictures taken for website. Also needs comments from R/C Calihan. Set a 4/15 deadline to get information submitted for 2018 roster.
