Help to spot marine turtles W e need citizen scientists to walk our beaches, identify marine turtle tracks and nests, and collect information about potential threats. NSW TurtleWatch promotes long-term recovery and conservation of marine turtles and engages locals to monitor beaches for nests, train and enlist volunteers to assist management agencies protect nests from marine debris, coastal erosion, and light pollution on nesting beaches to contribute to conservation. If you can assist see the tutorials and manual for details on our website on how to start collecting beach monitoring data or get in touch to request more information and guidance. A rare nest of endangered loggerhead turtle eggs was discovered at Shelly Beach recently. Beach walkers found the nest after seeing a turtle crawl into the waves, promptly called WIRES, triggering alerts to NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), NSW TurtleWatch and Central Coast Council. Council built a fence around the sand dune to protect the site as the mother had buried the nest in an area popular with beachgoers. People could crush eggs or collapse the nest by walking over the top. Predators such as foxes or dogs, goannas and birds are potential nest raiders. Experts from these organisations anticipate the nest had 100 to 150 turtle eggs which, depending on sand temperatures, normally hatch in around 8 to 12 weeks’ time. 24HR RESCUE HOTLINES 0447 877 149 https://:seabirdrescue.org.au Rescuing Seabirds, Shorebirds, Sea Turtles and Sea Snakes in NSW

Here are some key pieces of advice: Get those tyres pumped, do a 4WD driver training course, Take the right recovery gear – recovery tracks as a minimum, obtain permits as required, Take plenty of drinking water and snacks When you get to the dunes: Drop tyre pressures, Keep momentum in soft sand, Keep to existing tracks, stay off vegetation, Don’t drive in the surf. Know Your Vehicle : Understand the type of 4WD system your vehicle has (part-time, full-time, or automatic) and how to engage and disengage it properly. Drive at Appropriate Speeds : 4WD doesn’t improve handling on slick roads. Slow down when conditions are poor, especially on ice or snow. Use 4WD Wisely: Only use 4WD when necessary, such as on slippery or uneven terrain. Using it on dry pavement can damage your drivetrain. Avoid Overconfidence: 4WD can give a false sense of security. It helps with traction but doesn’t improve braking or stability in turns. Off-Roading Tips Travel Responsibly: Stick to designated trails and avoid creating new paths. is a great spot for 4WD driving and beach camping. Activities: Sandboarding, fishing, and swimming.
Tyre Management : Ensure your tyres are properly inflated and in good condition. Rotate them regularly to maintain even wear. Obstacle Navigation : Drive over obstacles where possible, rather than around them to avoid widening trails. Hill Driving : Always drive straight up or down hills to maintain control and avoid tipping. Emergency Situations Getting Stuck: If you get stuck, avoid spinning your wheels. Instead, shift into 4HI and gently feather the gas to inch your way out. Rocking the Vehicle: If feathering the gas doesn’t work, try rocking the vehicle back and forth by applying and releasing the gas. Maintenance Tips Regular Use : Use your 4WD system regularly to keep it in good working order. Check Fluids : Regularly check and change the fluids in your transfer case and differentials as per the manufacturer’s recommendations. Beach wheelchairs and matting makes life easier on the coast. T o improve access and inclusion for people with limited mobility or living with a disability, Council provides beach wheelchairs at 13 beaches and has installed beach matting at four popular locations this Summer. Beach wheelchairs - Council has a suite of beach wheelchairs available for free hire for residents and visitors at the following patrolled beaches: Avoca Beach, Copacabana Beach, Killcare Beach, Lakes Beach, Macmasters Beach, Ocean Beach (Umina), Shelly Beach, Soldiers Beach, Terrigal Beach, The Entrance, Toowoon Bay, Wamberal Beach. To accommodate varied needs, there are three models of beach wheelchairs including the Sand Cruiser (available at all above locations), plus the Hippocampe and Water Wheel (at selected suitable locations). While beach wheelchair hire can be arranged on site through the lifeguards at individual Surf Life Saving Clubs, online bookings are highly encouraged to ensure the preferred model of beach wheelchair is available. This is also the best way to arrange relocation of beach wheelchairs for individual or group bookings in advance. Beach matting - has been installed at Toowoon Bay, Umina Beach, Ocean Beach and Terrigal Beach to improve access for people who are less mobile and living with a disability. These beaches have been chosen because erosion is low to moderate, and they are relatively flat. The bright, blue matting is rolled out and secured over the sand and usable by all beach goers providing a stable, non-slip, cool surface particularly for people who may use wheelchairs, mobility aids, or prams to have easier access across the sand. To book a beach wheelchair or for more information go to: website centralcoast.nsw.gov.au and search ‘beach accessibility’ Phone: 4306 7900

Increase natural light in your home N atural light in your home is so much more beneficial than artificial light. It bathes your room in a rich full spectrum hue that light bulbs cannot duplicate, and it increases your body's feel-good serotonin levels. With natural light in your home and the warmth that comes from the sun in some of the rooms of your home, energy efficient windows and skylights are a great way to save money on utility costs and do a great job in reducing energy usage. Skylights are an excellent option for rooms with limited or no windows. They can provide sufficient natural light without compromising privacy. Installing a skylight in your bathroom can brighten up these often-overlooked spaces. Skylights can also offer opening and closing functions that enhance air circulation in your bathroom. Proper ventilation is essential to reduce humidity and prevent the growth of mould in your space. When the skylight is opened, warm, moist air rises and exits through the skylight, promoting a fresher and healthier environment. This can be particularly beneficial for bathrooms that lack windows or have limited ventilation options. The type of glass and material used in your skylight windows play a significant role in the amount of heat they let in. Traditional glass may allow too much heat, whereas specialized glazing can help block heat effectively. If you’re unsure, local window experts can evaluate your fixture’s energy efficiency and how the sun is positioned throughout the day so you can maximize and control the daylight effectively.

Are Transition lenses the right choice for you? T ransitions ® lenses are a popular type of photochromic eyewear that adapt to changing light conditions. These lenses darken when exposed to sunlight or UV rays, making them a versatile option for eyeglass wearers. They are particularly beneficial for those who wear glasses all day, as they serve two primary functions: shielding your eyes from harmful UV rays and eliminating the need for a separate pair of prescription sunglasses. Regardless of whether the lenses are clear or tinted, they consistently provide full protection against UVA and UVB radiation. The latest in this line, Transitions ® GEN S™, remains completely clear indoors and quickly darkens outdoors, achieving maximum tint in just seconds. This model boasts enhanced responsiveness to light, reaching category three darkness in under 30 seconds and returning to clarity in about two minutes. It also offers improved durability compared to its predecessor, Transitions® GEN 8™. They block 100% of UVA and UVB rays while also filtering blue-violet light, both inside and outside. Available in a range of colours including Gray, Graphite Green, Amethyst, Amber, Sapphire, Emerald, Brown, and the new Ruby, these lenses are designed to always maintain true colour, providing vibrant hues no matter the lighting. With Transitions ® GEN S™, you can enjoy a stylish look that complements any outfit while ensuring optimal clarity indoors and beautiful colour outdoors. This latest version enhances visual performance and responsiveness, offering a 39% faster recovery from bright light compared to standard clear lenses, ensuring a seamless visual experience in diverse lighting conditions. In the Transitions ® brand, another product known as, XTRActive Transitions lenses provide extra protection against blue-violet light and maintain 100% UVA and UVB filtration for added peace of mind making them ideal for individuals who are highly sensitive to light or often find themselves in bright environments. XTRActive lenses provide enhanced darkness and additional shielding from intense light. They come in a variety of colours, including Gray, Brown, and Graphite Green. For those opting for the Gray lens, there's also the option to add Polarised features for even greater glare reduction. Some of the benefits of transition lenses include: • Convenience: Perfect for various settings, whether you're inside or outside. • Consistent UV protection: No more forgetting your sunglasses or hesitating to wear them when stepping outside. On a personal note, I’ve been a fan of transition lenses since the early days of their release. Over the years, the Transitions® technology has evolved significantly. At the moment, I own three pairs of glasses featuring Transitions® lenses. • In my Eros frames, I enjoy multifocal lenses with Transitions® Sapphire, which enhance my daily strolls along the esplanade and by the water. • My BOSS aviator glasses are equipped with multifocal XTRActive Gray lenses, perfect for social gatherings, as they elevate my style while providing excellent outdoor protection. • Lastly, my Lacoste glasses have single vision lenses with Transitions® Brown, making my weekends in the garden and outdoor activities vibrant, as the brown tint beautifully highlights the greenery. For more information about Transitions®, please visit your nearest optometrist or visit us at Adrenaline Optometry. We offer digital eye examinations for the entire family, product option and sunglass options • Diverse choices of colours • Cost-effective long term • Activates on cloudy days Some of the drawbacks of transition lenses include • Will not activate in the car • Not intended to replace traditional sunglasses • Can be a costly upfront cost option

Leagues Club Park Upgrade boosted by $1.65 million C entral Coast Council is pleased to announce a $1.65 million grant from the Australian Government Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts, to support the redevelopment of the ‘tidal terrace’ area in Leagues Club Park. This funding, together with a $165,000 contribution from Council, will enable significant upgrades to the park, ensuring it remains a vibrant and inclusive space for local families and visitors. Based on community feedback, a range of improvements have already been made to this phenomenal recreation space on the waterfront at Leagues Club Park at Gosford which include more inclusive play equipment, more shade sails and the addition of a concrete path for greater accessibility. Council Director of Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith emphasised the importance of community input in shaping the park’s future. “We’ve had fantastic results with the current adventure playground, including the popular rocket slide, and we’re excited to build on this success. “The community’s feedback has been invaluable, guiding us towards creating a destination play space that’s truly inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.” “This project is a collaborative effort, and we’re working closely with the Darkinjung Aboriginal Land Council to create a space that reflects our region’s rich heritage and supports the broader transformation of the Gosford waterfront.”

MyHome Planner tools for knockdown rebuilds. I t is now easier for Coasties considering knockdown rebuilds to plan, build, and move in, with comprehensive information on the process added to the popular myHome Planner tool. Critical information from 48 government sites on the knockdown rebuild process has been pulled into the online tool to guide users’ step by step. “MYHome Planner is an easy-to-use digital platform that takes away the guesswork when doing a new build, providing reliable information on key steps, obligations, and approvals, in a single location. Building a new home can be exciting and equally complex, which can lead to information overload. We need more homes built and expanding this digital resource to include information on knockdown rebuilds makes it that little bit easier. Current or prospective homeowners can enter the property address and gain access to relevant council information, zoning, ratings, easement information, developer guidelines such as building heights and minimum block size, and relevant planning controls such as bushfire and flood risk. The NSW Government is seeking to reach the National Housing Accord target of 377,000 well located new homes over the coming five years, following reforms to low and mid-rise housing, which commenced on July 1 this year. These changes allow development applications for dual occupancies and semi-detached dwellings to be submitted in more R2 residential zones, such as duplexes and semis. Enabling dual occupancies in these locations allows homeowners with suitable blocks to replace one existing home with two dwellings. Other low and mid-rise housing reforms will include townhouses, terraces and two storey apartment blocks near transport hubs and town centres in R2 low density residential zones across Greater Sydney, the Hunter, Central Coast and Illawarra regions and mid-rise apartment blocks near transport hubs and town centres in R3 medium density and R4 high density residential zones across these regions. The MyHome Planner was developed in collaboration with the Department of Customer Service and is available at the NSW Planning Portal which receives more than 12 million page views annually. www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au/myhome-planner

A ll flooring will expand and contract. Some in response to heat and cold and others due to a change in humidity. Generally, natural materials such as timber and bamboo (and to an extent, laminate) are hydroscopic. That is, they react to the moisture levels in the air. When the air is moist it’s absorbed, and the floor expands (mostly in the width of the board). As a dry spell sets in the floor slowly dries out and shrinks over several weeks. Bamboo is versatile and has the greatest movement in this way. To deal with this when your floor is laid an 8-12mm gap is left wherever the floor meets a vertical surface like a wall. This is best covered by your skirting or as an alternative, scotia to ensure that you will never see this type of movement. Vinyl and the much-advertised Hybrid floors are thermoscopic; they respond to temperature. When the house is cold, they contract and when the home heats up they expand. This can happen several times a day. In all floating floors at some point the area of flooring will become too wide which does not allow an expansion joint to be installed. Ask advice on how wide you can go before needing one as it will depend on the floor type you choose. Trims are required where your new floor meets the tiles in a laundry, an external door, a change in flooring like carpet or change in height such as a step. Most trims are designed to allow the floor to expand and contract under them and need to be installed so that the floor is not prevented from doing so. Every room is different and imposes specific requirements. Call Proflooring for advice or a FREE measure and quote. Phone: 4342 6666 Visit our showroom: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm or Saturday 9am – 2pm. 256 West Street, Umina Beach. Did you know that flooring expands and contracts?

THE EXPERT ask affliction of epidemic proportions tragically experienced by hundreds of millions daily, and affluence is certainly not an antidote. Unresolved pain is debilitating indeed, often eventually disabling, yet in many cases it can be prevented. Here in Australia known as the lucky country, approximately 1 in 5 people 45yrs+ (well over 5 million) live with ongoing pain. Conversely, having 1st hand witnessed poverty while in India, the people there paradoxically fare better overall than Aussies in relation to retaining their flexibility & mobility into old age. To clarify this was not because of practicing Yoga which naturally comes to mind re India. I was however privileged to meet & pray for a prominent yogi and lawyer who was suffering so badly with severe back pain that he was unable to stand for long or to walk far and god miraculously healed him – indeed a highlight of my stay. Though the precious souls there obviously do suffer in many ways including some with painful conditions, it is nevertheless true that multitudes survive on meager amounts of clean natural foods/ herbs without any of our typical comforts. No welfare system whatsoever or aged care facilities exist – yet the elderly are in generally healthy, physically mobile & vibrant. Turmeric being a copiously consumed dietary staple undoubtedly plays a substantial role. And so as is always the case, science has finally caught up with the natural, as volumes of bonafide research now continue to validate the anti-inflammatory virtues of Curcumin. Inflammation is a both a precursor & result of degenerative disease, as it drives the painful symptoms thereof. Impressive studies have now proven Circumin’s functional ability to support the brain, liver, heart and joints in addition to having anti-cancer properties. Whilst this is true, bio-availability is the majorly crucial, and for all the many Curcumin products on the market, only a small number will actually deliver the degree of relief required by those with severe chronic pain. It is a fact that Piperine in black pepper does increase bio-availability by 2000% thereby enhancing absorption. In the absence of consistently consuming the dynamic duo daily in quantities such as the Indians do however, the Curcumin needs to be potentiated for the efficacy to be made manifest. This basically means unlocking the full power residing therein and in its absolute best therapeutic form, the permeability to cross the blood-brain barrier is 350 X greater than the average! Herbal formulations & Nutraceuticals can certainly be wonderfully beneficial, though they’re definitely not all the same, nor do they all actually work well. Perception is king

Hope for those suffering with chronic pain
Q: I’m struggling with severe chronic pain that’s now affecting my ability to enjoy many things I love to do. Every adult in both my immediate and extended family are without exception also suffering daily from one form of pain or another. Like me they’ve had a gutful of harmful drugs with their side effects that just treat symptoms as we continue to go backwards. We’re now all desperately looking for sound direction we can trust and follow, not online mostly American “miracle cure” marketing lies. So I’m hoping you can share some trustable natural strategies that in your experience are actually effective as well as safe in the long term to help us. A: Please don’t think I’m being at all insensitive to your situation in any way when I say it’s great and furthermore admirable that you’re managing to reach out to your relatives in the midst of your own pain. This is the ideal scenario towards health & healing. Thank God you haven’t fallen into the typical trap of becoming embittered as sadly so many chronic pain sufferers do to their own demise. Caring for others while at the same time enduring suffering ourselves, confers mental & physical benefits that most never even contemplate or experience. So more power to you! Before elaborating on the subject & concerning your comment re having no confidence in Dr Google & the predominantly US marketing scams, is good for many people being taking advantage of to hear. Just when we think we’ve seen it all, there’s another supposed “miracle cure” with no real substance whatsoever offering amazing benefits but delivering none. A classic example trending right now is Bee Venom cream, where pathetic AI shows deformed arthritic joints & even actual bones miraculously changing shape. One wonders how anyone could believe such waffle & the answer comes down to real desperation. As if this wasn’t bad enough, it gives the impression of the fake healing happening rapidly while the complete story built around it is fabricated, including the origin of the supposed venom content. Not only are an enormous number of vulnerable individuals sucked into and exploited by these scams, unfortunately many who may have otherwise looked at the credible side of the Natural/Herbal field consequently as the saying goes throw the baby out with the bathwater, rejecting all when some actually is highly beneficial for chronic pain relief & management. Moving back to reality, chronic pain due to inflammation/degeneration is a global
in marketing & driven by the love of money lacks any duty of care, promises much, then fails dismally to bring about best health outcomes. Therefore it’s imperative to only use genuine researched synergistically delivered substances/formulas as prescribed including dosages & intervals tailored to specific needs according to an individual’s clinical diagnostics. The following list is not exhaustive (feel free to contact me for consultation), though does illustrate some easily accessible consumer friendly majorly beneficial items to alleviate & manage chronic pain relating to multiple conditions: • G&W AUST PainGo Capsules and Spray – powerful synergistic relief • 100% Pure Australian Lactoferrin – No.1 Anti inflammatory Nutraceutical • SLO 4 AKGs + Squalene – multifunctional & highly beneficial Furthermore it’s a given that dietary intake plays a huge role in pain management. It really is a no-brainer, yet amazingly the need to employ an anti-inflammatory diet escapes the average Aussie. While as a rule diets do fail and rather a balanced lifestyle wins, nevertheless the Mediterranean persuasion is by far the best functional & sustainable way to go. That said, there’s always room for improvement to up the ante & as such here are the basics to embrace & enjoy: • Avocado – everyone’s best friend & an ideal replacement for butter • Bee Pollen – Gold Nutrition sourced from pristine remote WA (request info) • Berries – forget weak blueberries & Acai', go for MAQUI (again ask for info) • Broccoli – must be ACO or better take Green Fusion i.e. WG, GB & Alfalfa • Cherries – Organic Georgian Juice for Joints, Heart, Sleep + perfect with GF • Chia Seeds – Black Volcanic are the real deal with 2 X Omega3 of fish oil+++l • Cinnamon – Pure Ceylon is a delicious anti inflammatory spice • Citrus – Organic Lemons & Limes, moderate qty of Oranges/Mandarins • Dark Chocolate – min. 85% great in Coconut Yoghurt with fruit etc • Duck – High Oleic Acid + Selenium reduces inflammation • Fish – wild caught local cooked in MCT/EV Olive Oil + Alaskan Red Salmon • Green Tea – choose Matcha to derive sufficient potency of EGCG • Nuts & Seeds – Org Almonds, Brazil, Cashews, Pepitas, Sunflowers, Walnuts

was Christian Parsa from Raptor Reptiles who brought along a few of his favourite friends. We were then entertained by ‘Soundwaves’ Capella Choir, which included our member, Lionel Gordon. All members then enjoyed a scrumptious lunch provided by our committee." We meet on the second Thursday of each month at 10.00am at the Narara Community Centre, Pandala Road, Narara. The Wednesday following our meeting we get together at 10.00am for ‘Coffee ‘n’ Chat’ at the Grange Hotel, Wyoming. Generally, on the fourth Thursday of each month a lunch venue is organised at a local club, hotel, or restaurant. On occasions we have a BBQ at a local park. We endeavour to have a couple of day tours throughout the year and an extended 3-5 day tours most years. Probus is a non-political, non-sectarian, and non-fundraising body. Ettalong 50 Plus – extend your social circle P reviously the Senior Citizens Centre, the Ettalong 50 Plus is now run by a dedicated team of skilled volunteers who co-ordinate a broad and diverse range of activities from Bootscooting, Bridge, Yoga, Tai Chi, Table Tennis, Ballroom Dancing, Ukelele: Recorder, Mahjong, Scabble, Chess Leatherwork, Handicraft, Darts and much more. Community clubs like Ettalong 50 Plus are safe, welcoming destinations run by older members of the community. A place where people from all walks of life can come together, build a network of friendship, and enjoy relaxed get-togethers with like-minded people. Centre President John Gibbins said, “The Centre is open for everything from cards, to Clubbersize and even a light-hearted community choir. Operating inside this large building Ettalong 50 Plus houses numerous comfortable, practical spaces featuring a calm library space, computer room, indoor bowling area, large dining room with a commercial-grade kitchen and dance hall. “We’re a not-for-profit that will broaden friendships and open peoples’ eyes to activities they may not have tried,” says Mr Gibbins. The Centre is always on the lookout for motivated, skilled individuals with spare hours each week to fill a range of roles. Adds Mr Gibbins: “We are always on the hunt for volunteers – whether that’s to conduct an event, help with catering, design flyers to help promote the centre, or even look after our Facebook.” Another class is Tech Savvy Seniors, a NSW Government initiative in partnership with Telstra that provides hands-on help with technology skills. With the rise of digital, basic computer skills can help older members of the community navigate online activities with greater ease, confidence and of course safety. “Even if you’re a little restless, wanting to learn a new skill, or simply polish up and old one, Ettalong 50 Plus will roll out the welcome mat for anyone aged fifty-plus.” Leatherwork, held on Wednesdays from 9:00am – 12:00 midday, gives members the opportunity to get their hands on many kinds of leatherworking tools and techniques to handle leather materials. Members could make a wallet, a belt, a key chain or perhaps something decorative. Memberships - $15 annually, with selected activities costing $3 each. Interested locals can find out more by posting a message on the website, ettalong50plus.org.au, or by dropping in for a visit at the corner of Broken Bay Road and Karingi Street, Ettalong Beach. We look forward to meeting you! Open: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Meals on Wheels Central Coast Unveils Club 365: A New Fundraising Initiative M eals on Wheels Central Coast (MOWCC) proudly announced the launch of its new fundraising initiative, Club 365, during a vibrant event held at its Tuggerah head office. The evening brought together supporters, volunteers, and small businesses to celebrate a shared mission of providing nutritious meals to senior citizens of the Central Coast – a commitment that has been at the heart of MOWCC since 1967. "We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us for the Club 365 Launch! It was an incredible event where we saw the community come together to learn about our mission and support our volunteers," said Neridah Morris, CEO of Meals on Wheels Central Coast. "Together, we raised close to $5,000 on the night! Thank you to all our generous donors." Club 365 aims to secure ongoing support for MOWCC's essential meal delivery service by recruiting 365 donors to contribute $30 a month for 12 months. This initiative directly addresses the increasing costs associated with volunteer travel kilometres, which costs the organisation approximately $100,000 each year. “Our dedicated volunteers, who generously use their own vehicles, play a critical role in delivering meals to the most isolated and vulnerable members of our community,” added Morris. “This initiative is about ensuring they can continue this vital service.” A sincere huge thank you to our Meals on Wheels Central Coast volunteers, board members, staff and all the fantastic small businesses who joined us, including Cakes By Kyla, Central Coast Branches of Bendigo Bank, Better You Counselling, Paul Hills The Agency, Driving Miss Daisy, Hearing Australia, Rel8.app, RSL LifeCare, Central Coast Sports College, Freightlinx, Loyal I.T. Solutions, 4B Media, Orbell Family Lawyers, Unique Building Partners, Morgans Financial Limited - Gosford, Lexus Of Central Coast, Worthington Motor Group Central Coast, ABCOE Central Coast, Gosford Air Conditioning, Hi Five Disability Support Services PTY Limited and On the Coast – Publications. MOWCC volunteers cover vast distances – over 91,000 km annually – ensuring that no senior citizen is left without a meal or social connection. With the senior population in the Central Coast projected to reach nearly 97,000 by 2034, the need for continued support is critical. Club 365 is not only a fundraising effort but also a way for donors to connect with the mission of Meals on Wheels Central Coast. All donations over $2 are tax-deductible, and donors will gain exclusive access to MOWCC content and events. For more information or to become a donor, please visit our website or Club 365 page, or call us on 02 4357 8444.
Terrigal locals bowled over I n April 2021 - Central Coast Council (secretly) listed the site of the Bowling Club for sale. When Terrigal Bowling Club CEO caught wind of the plan, he released a change.org petition in which the entire Terrigal and Central Coast community got behind. Within 24 hours the site was removed from the assets to be sold list in a huge victory for the Club. Now, 3 years later, the council has granted a 10-year lease extension in which the bowlers and local community are overjoyed by. To celebrate, CEO Craig Fairweather is looking at installing a children’s play area - a first in Terrigal for local families - as no other pubs or clubs have a children’s play space - families currently must go to Avoca, Erina or Kincumber
