Central Coast Home and Lifestyle Spring 2022

Mounties Care Careflight keeping the Central Coast safe B reakers Country Club hosted a CareFlight encounter late August at the Central Coast venue with the community invited to attend. Mounties Care CareFlight helicopter landed on the golf course for the local community to experience and see the H145 in action. Together with the Mounties Care team, locals and families were able to see this state-of-the-art helicopter and meet the CareFlight team behind the controls, working tirelessly to keep our community safe and connected to lifesaving medical treatment when it is needed most. Mounties Group are proud of the biggest sponsorship and community support package known in club history. Mounties Care, which launched late last year, has signed a five-year deal as the naming rights sponsor to the CareFlight Rapid Response Helicopter. The extensive deal supports CareFlight as it launched the brand new Airbus H145, part of the next generation of NSW’s Aeromedical Helicopters. The new helicopter is one of the most advanced aeromedical helicopters in Australia and branded as the Mounties Care - CareFlight Helicopter, dedicated to saving lives in Greater Sydney, the Central Coast, and Blue Mountains. This five-year partnership helps ensure that the services of the CareFlight Helicopter are available to our community members in need and allows CareFlight to save even more lives. This affects you, your family, your neighbours, and the wider NSW population as our members. Of course, we have enjoyed a rich eleven-year history with the CareFlight team, previously supporting them through community donations and ClubGRANTs. However, this newly announced deal is of a far greater scale than any partnership they have enjoyed before. Mounties Group CEO, Dale Hunt, knows all too well the importance CareFlight has in the community after a CareFlight team saved his own son’s life. “Without CareFlight my son would not be here today. I wholeheartedly believe this, and I know there are many others that share the same sentiment as I,” says Dale. “The brand-new helicopter is like nothing you have ever seen before and is now out servicing the region and saving lives every day.” Dale concluded.

Independent Optometrist in Terrigal A t Adrenaline Optometry our Optometrists use Wavefront Aberrometry, a device that takes a Digital Fingerprint of your eyeball to improve the accuracy of our prescriptions. Your exam is controlled by your Optometrist using a computer, so you don’t have to worry if you gave the wrong answer. This process is different to a traditional eye test where lenses are flipped manually by the Optometrist and helps us get your glasses right the first time around! We have invested in the latest technology in order to provide outstanding results and your eye exam will never be rushed. We also include digital imaging with every Comprehensive Exam to help detect conditions such as Glaucoma and Macular Degeneration. We know your eye care standards are high and we do not cut any corners. We are proud to provide the widest range of performance eyewear on the Central Coast and customer service like no other. We try our best to source local and high quality products and most of our prescriptions are made in Australia by ‘Shamir’, an industry leader in ophthalmic lenses. We stock international as well as Australian/NZ brands. We offer free local delivery to clients in Terrigal, Wamberal, Erina, Avoca, Gosford, Forrester’s Beach and surrounds. We also provide free postage Australia wide for any in store prescription purchases. Contact Lenses are a great alternative to glasses for sport, work and social occasions. They are available in disposable designs, meaning no cleaning and no fuss. Contrary to popular belief, contact lenses are a perfectly safe option for adults, seniors and children, especially with modern advances. We recommend our patients wear daily disposable lenses , which are much safer than reusable monthly or fortnightly lenses. If you’ve been told in the past that your eyes are not suitable for contact lenses, that’s probably no longer true! At Adrenaline Optometry, we have access to all types of contact lenses, and are able to find a solution to suit your lifestyle. Check out our website to learn about a range of important eye health and vision conditions that may affect you.
