A Kennards Box Goes a Long Way...

“I can't recommend highly enough Kennards Self Storage Brookvale. Yet again I returned today and was given some MORE boxes because of the enormous amount of donations I've collected! Truly, I really don't know how I would have stored all the Winter Care Kits if not for them. Thank you David and staff!”

Kindness is Catching is an organisation dedicated to bring awareness to events

organised around social issues in our community, projects which will have physical outcomes to help people in need. Most recently ‘Care Kits’ to help Sydney City’s homeless people.

Relief for Cyclone Pam Compass Housing Services is Austral- ia’s largest regionally based community housing provider. Established in 1985, Compass is a not-for-profit organisa- tion, and primarily aims to alleviate the hardship of housing stress for low-to moderate income earning households and disadvantaged people by providing safe, secure and affordable housing. Not long after the devastation of Cyclone Pam in Vanuatu, Melissa Hope from Compass Housing approached Kennards Self Storage for help. Compass Housing along with Liberty of Nations; a not for profit organisation assisting countries including Albania, Australia, Fiji, Vanuatu, The Philippines, Turkey and many more, with housing and school classrooms, supporting poor communities and homes for women and children, were coming together to provide aid to Vanuatu. With the first shipment already on its way and another to be packed, they were in desperate need of boxes to pack supplies for schools and families on the smaller island. Kennards Self Storage donated 200 boxes to the relief effort and had them shipped to Compass. The boxes ended up being shipped for free too, as the wholesaler kindly helped out! Weeks later and 10 shipping containers have left for Vanuatu providing blankets, towels, clothing, water containers, timber and roof iron. Sharon Dux EA to MD

Here are just some of the amazing items dropped off to Kennards Self Storage in CBD Wellington by fantastic families with huge hearts. Boxes and boxes of amazing clothing, swaddles, sleeping bags, cot sheets, toys, books, baby baths, baby towels and flannels, disposable and reusable nappies and much much more! And all of this is just from one pick up - every week now we arrive to our drop off box at Kennards on the Hutt Road to find it stuffed full of incredible items for our babies. It's just so fantastic! The fact they have such great hours (7 day as week) and are so central to town makes it the PERFECT drop off location, and storage space as well!!!

A very special thank you to Kennards for their amazing ongoing support - not only are they a drop off point for us but they also donate boxes to both our Wellington and Auckland branches! And they've just helped us to get lots of boxes for our new Christchurch branch as well! xoxo Little Sprouts” Little Sprouts are a volunteer-run charity that gives free life changing boxes (with everything a baby needs at birth) to families who desperately need them.
