THE VENDING MACHINE AT THE SERVICE OF INDUSTRY 4.0
Meeting in the marketing and communication department: Elsa DIMEC, Maxime FOURNIER, Lauriane MASSARDIER, Anton FERRIÈRE, Bruce GOMEZ
“5S” therefore consists of improving efficiency by organising the workstations and their surroundings. As is always the case with Lean Management, the goal is to avoid excesses and waste. The advantage of this method is that it represents a collective commitment, with participative management. It makes it possible to involve the company’s staff in the improvement of the tool, at every level of the hierarchy. You capitalise on the know-how of the personnel in place, the teams advance and build a better organisation together.
operational Industry 4.0 and Lean Management together for the revolution Faced with this never-ending demand for improved productivity, the industrial sector has understood the need to adapt. It must go further, anticipate, innovate and integrate the new digital tools. Industry 4.0 and Lean have every reason to interact.
SAM’URAÏ ® project meeting: Théo DESCHAUX, Rachel MOSNIER, Chloé BRUYÈRE, Eric GIROUX
The Information Systems and interfaces can be placed all along the production line. In the past, they worked in “preventive” mode. They can now offer “predictive” maintenance. Here, it is still a question of rationalising and avoiding waste, in line with the principles of Lean Management. Likewise for the automation technologies. Automation has evolved greatly since the fifties, but it is still subject to one key factor: the human factor. It is very logical, that Industry 4.0 provides the keys. Connected to a smart network, companies can respond better, whether this concerns parts, machines, employees or interfaces.
Now, they all know how to interact with each other. If the factory as a whole is connected, technology allows the workforce to respond to random events and be trained on the production line in real time. The company saves time, as it has all the information to hand and can transmit it instantaneously. It has greater visibility, the ability to anticipate and provide an immediate response to technical problems and, therefore, greater flexibility and lower losses of energy. It will be very interesting to see how far it will be possible to push automation. With the arrival of connected objects and smart tools, industry has already launched its new revolution.
Thus, a clean workstation that is organised and uncluttered makes it possible to work more efficiently and in greater safety. As the dangerous parts or products have been identified upstream, measures can be taken. Furthermore, this avoids an increased workload for the maintenance teams. The risk of accidents is reduced, the general working environment is clearer, more accessible and pleasant.
