» » Consider pedestrian demand and/or pedestrian overlay districts » » Prioritize transportation needs of underserved populations such as seniors, children, persons with disabilities and low-income residents » » Identify and remedy sidewalk and trail gaps between city streets, parks, schools, off-road trails/bike trails and other points of interest to better facilitate people walking and biking » » Produce and distribute walking and biking route maps and online resources » » Improve natural navigation through a better wayfinding signage system » » Be recognized as a Walk Friendly and/or Bicycle Friendly Community » » Require active transportation connections to grocery and convenience stores with new development » » Support the comfort and safety of walking and biking year- round, including adoption and enforcement of a revised snow maintenance policy » » Evaluate the need for adjustments to the city’s sidewalk maintenance policy » » Focus on improving connections between destinations within Shakopee
