NIGHT TO UNITE Event date: August 2 Time: 5:30–8 p m Where: Lions Park, 1103 Adams St S The first Tuesday night in August, the City of Shakopee hosts “Night to Unite,” a sum mer evening dedicated to cel ebrating and strengthening the community Night to Unite registration opens June 6 and closes July 23 Registering your
Join the Police Department for an evening of fun with free food, yard games, raffled giveaways and a chance to get to know your local police department There will be a school supply drive during this event Attendees can “stuff the squad” with school supplies to support the local youth From crayons and notebooks to binders and book bags, please show your support by dropping off an item or two to help students be prepared for the upcoming school year
event ensures a visit from Shakopee Police, Fire, PublicWorks, or City Council, and some great freebies Block party captains that register their party between June 6 and June 17 will be entered in a drawing for amusic-themed goodie basket that they can use to help set up their party We’ll randomly choose three winners This year’s theme is “Rock the Block!” Get your guests to dress up as their favorite musician/group, grab a karaoke machine and let your neighbors jam out to their favorite tunes or bake up some musical themed treats However you choose to plan your music themed party, just remember to rock on!
