of dreaming, because modern ideology elicits no dreams. What we have called capitalism, which we readily call liberalism, and which we would like to define as a reality in which power relations are dictated by competition and profit, this global society assumed to have no compass generates what it lacks, what lies at the heart of what is missing, that is to say, a living world in the complete world. And this world is nothing less than the consciousness and experience of time. Perhaps History begins with poetry rather more than it does with philosophy.
