I didn’t have a car so i walked all around chicago with holes in my shoes and a vague sense that somehow every step i took was leading me down days in the wrong direction and every where there was something happening just on the other flat side of a building i walked around toronto admiring the views and sad sad that it seemed everywhere they were putting up apartments like ice for the sky all summer where the lake lay like a dead animal and the boats and all the little girls in chinatown were sad too because they didnt know anything and they hung flags across the street in little italy to remind people that they were there it was awful everyone was so proud and i walked around new york and felt alright in the parks and bookshops and subways and spent only three days there and got laid twice from a 19 year old who made movies about people
