About the Authors

Kathrin Schmidt Kathrin Schmidt (born in Gotha, Germany in 1958). Known for both poetry and prose, she has received the Ann Seghers-Preis (1988), the German Book Prize (2009), Thüringer LIteraturpreis (2017), and various other honors. Exploring various themes from politics to personal memories, her latest work, somerschaums ernte , explores ageing and moving on from the past. TE 20-9 Blutch Blutch (born in Strasbourg, France in 1967) is a French graphic novelist. He earned recognition by publishing with the magazine Fluide glacial , but he serialized Peplum in the magazine À Suivre . He received the Prix international de la Ville de Genève pour la bande dessinée in 2002 and was president of the Angoulême comic festival in 2010, one year after winning the Grand Prix de la Ville d’Angoulême.
