The Arctic World Archive is a growing digital repository of world memory located at the remote island of Svalbard in the Arctic ocean. Memories stored here will survive into the distant future, providing a safe copy for this generation and authentic history for the next. The technology used to store the data is as important as the archive itself. We use a purpose-built digital storage medium that can keep data alive for over 1000 years with guaranteed future accessibility. Piql is a specialist provider of digital preservation and long term data storage solutions. Backed by the EU, it is well recognised for its innovative approach to keeping data well preserved with guaranteed future access. Piql Service providers are present all over the world.

For those unable to travel, we are excited to invite you to our first virtual deposit, where you can participate online and experience the moment fromwherever you are.

For those able to travel, we will be holding an intimate ceremony at the vault and will invite all depositors to a celebratory dinner afterward.
