• 1 oz simple syrup • 3 fresh strawberries • 2-3 fresh spearmint sprigs • 1 oz fresh lime juice • 1.5 oz white rum • 3-4 oz soda water

When grill is hot, place corn directly on the grill and cook, rotating occasionally, until cooked through and charred a little bit on all sides, about 8 minutes. Transfer corn to bowl with cheese mixture and use a large spoon to evenly coat corn on all sides with mixture. Sprinkle with extra cheese and chili powder and serve immediately with lime wedges.

Directions In a chilled highball glass, muddle the simple syrup, strawberries and mint leaves together with the back of a spoon or muddler. Crush the strawberries and mint leaves well. Stir in the lime juice and rum. Fill the glass with ice and top off with soda water. Gently stir.

Strawberry Grapefruit Rosé Spritzer From page 36 Makes 1 Cocktail

STRAWBERRY SEASON

For the syrup: • 1 cup strawberries • 1 cup water • 1 cup granulated sugar For the spritzer: • 1 oz. grapefruit juice • 2 drops rose water • 1/2 oz. strawberry syrup • Sparkling Rosé

Garnish with mint sprigs and strawberry slices.

Directions In a saucepan, bring sugar and water to a boil. Gradually add strawberries; return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, allow to cool, and bottle. In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine grapefruit juice, strawberry syrup, & rosewater. Shake until well-chilled, then strain into a flute. Top with three ounces of sparkling rosé. Garnish with a raspberry.

Strawberry Rhubarb Daiquiri From page 34 Makes 1 Pitcher (Serves 8)

• 6 cups ice • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries • Juice of 1 lime (about 1 oz) • 1 can East Coast Craft Soda Strawberry Rhubarb Lemonade • 3/4 cup Havana Club Anejo Rum (03694Z) • Fresh strawberries to garnish Directions In a blender, combine the ice, sugar and strawberries. Pour in the lime juice, rum and soda. Blend until smooth. Pour into glasses and serve right away, garnished with fresh strawberries.
