4076 1949 A double registration cover from Sheungkongjan to Chungking, bearing SYS Hwa Nan print 4c x 2 and 10c x 2, both with local overprinted ‘SHEUNGKONGJAN’, matching the domestic registration rate 28c, tied by ‘SHEUNGKONGJAN/24.6.49’ cds, ‘CHUNGKING/26.6.49’ arrival cds, the Silver Yuan local overprinted ‘SHEUNGKONGJAN’ is scarce, this cover is the second earliest known amongst the West Szechwan local overprints.
