Work process 2.2 Works on the promotion and safeguarding of quality care

Assignment 1 Participate in a study that is being carried out in the institution concerning the quality of care or use a standard instrument to collect information. Consult with your colleagues and make a proposal for the improvement of quality. Create a plan of action for this improvement plan in a family group/residential group, ward or organisation. When formulating the improvement plan, also make use of other scientific research, such as that by another health care institution (Evidence-Based Practice). State your sources. Assignment 2 Carry out this improvement plan within the institution procedures and legal frameworks and encourage your colleagues in this. Write a report of the course of the improvement plan. Involve the product evaluation: the extent to which the objectives have been achieved and the process evaluation: the course of the improvement plan. Also describe the procedures and legal guidelines you have taken into account. Result As a nurse in care for handicapped persons, you work on promoting and safeguarding quality care, for instance by participating in development or peer groups and deploying your knowledge of the field of expertise in improvement plans. You systematically safeguard the quality of your activities and identify bottlenecks in good time.
