INSTITUTION COMMERCIAL SPOT ROTATIONS

ESPN3 The MAAC has a total of twenty-nine 30 second commercials for men’s basketball and twenty-eight for women’s basketball MAAC ESPN3 broadcasts. Every MAAC institution commercial spot aired during all MAAC ESPN3 basketball broadcasts. The order of the commercial spots is determined by two factors. The first commercial spot is given to the home team playing and the second goes to the away team. The other slots are determined on a rotational basis beginning with the institutions in alphabetical order. Due to the quick turnaround at the MAAC tournament, there is only one commer- cial spot reel for all the games throughout the entire tournament. The commercial rotation of institutional spots is in alphabetical order. ESPNU The MAAC has a total of ten 30 second commercials for games airing on ESPNU. The home team and away team participating in the ESPNU game are each given a com- mercial during the game. The home team commercial airs during the first half of the game and the away team commercial airs during the second half of the game. Costs The MAAC covers the cost of transmission of the spots through the company Ex- treme Reach who then send the spots over to the ESPN stations. The cost is $125 per transmission per station. It is the institution’s responsibility to pay for the costs of the creation of the commercials as well as any changes that need to be made to meet ESPN’s guidelines. RAFT
