b. IHL COLLABORATION MEETING i.

The IHL collaboration meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12 th . Christian will send out an agenda for all of those interested in attending. He would like to discuss areas such as student retention, course management systems, areas of potential collaboration, and professional development. If you are interested in attending, please let Christian know beforehand. They will be providing lunch and need to ensure that they have enough for everyone who attends. SBCJC would like to provide some pre-conference training via the AT&T grant on the Wednesday before the start of the Creating Futures through Technology Conference from 9:00a.m. – 4:00p.m. AT&T would pay for the training being conducted and would be free of charge to the attendees. He asked that the DLCs identify the types of training that should be offered. The training could be conducted in both Desire2learn and Blackboard. Each session would need to be capped at twenty participants. They would like to reserve two rooms for this event. ii. Scott Smith stated that if they wished to conduct Wimba training that training would need to be scheduled for two hours. d. E-LEARNING WISH LIST i. Christian would like to recreate the eLearning wish list that was once provided. This will provide programs, software, etc. that we may want to keep on the radar for possible purchases. c. AT&T GRANT i.

Terry will add what was discussed during the training subcommittee meeting and will form a plan of action for moving forward.

LEARNING CIRCLE a. SURVEY & ORIENTATION MODULES SHOW AND TELL. Tabled until the November meeting.

b. NOVEMBER ARTCILE PRESENTATION - ECCC. Tabled until January. c. JANUARY ARTICLE PRESENTATION – EMCC. Tabled until February.

OPEN FORUM a. Phyllis asked about the survey that Northeast users for student data. Northeast are able to pull the information out of Bb and download into either excel or access, which is then used by their Institutional Research department. Tish stated that this information will eventually be pulled out using Outcomes. Your IT department will be able to add scripts out of your Student Information System, manually upload to Blackboard, which adds the users to various organizations within Bb. This will allow you to pull the necessary information out of Bb for Institutional Research. b. LaMetrius Daniel is currently conducting research on READI Assessment to determine if the assessment helps to ensure that student’s meet the necessary criteria for taking online courses. Chris Jenkins stated that he felt that the READI Assessment should be added to week
