SBCJC Business- Christian and Terry Pollard

a. Tish discussed Terry Pollard is promoting MSVCC, Terry has article in paper. Terry: Orientation Modules – System administrator outside of the State. Have support tab and goes outside the course, becomes difficult to navigate. Suggested creating an external link in the course for support, it will be a different color. Different tutorials, also provide in text format. Implement in the spring semester. Add course menu item on the left, the page will be hosted at SBCJC. Have the instructor add as a Menu Tab item. Tish suggested that it will be a required support button for all instructors, Jennifer Leimer also recommended to be used for D2L, Lametrius second the motion, ALL DLC approved. Holly suggested do away with the Help/Support tab. Reason: students should stay in the course and not navigate. Christian 2 nd argument is redesigning the MELO site and the student gets all the support with one click and stay within the course. Tish stated that each school can control their Help/Support Tab. b. Christian and Terry: Terry stated that they are working with MELO, coming up with new look and new information and links. c. Along class begins on the 18 th , was moved to 19 th and 20 th that Tuesday and Wednesday. No shows are due on February 3 rd . a. Enrollment Tool: Student Profile_ Holly commented took a poll from all 14 of 15 voted to remove the year. Tish is stated that Archive will still be able to keep the dates for future use. b. Roles and permission sheet_ Chris Square had Role Functions, the ET committee had a meeting last to revise the roles. Most of the roles removed was for the counselor and proctor. Questions concerning the Deans roles, Chris suggested to remove the Dean and the Librarian role. Keri believes the Deans role is evaluator. Jennifer say we use the course evaluator role, it was to replace the Deans roles. ET will go over the Roles and Remove the Deans and rename to Course Evaluator. c. 2 nd request for the Proctor link for DLC. Christian updated the Ives is re-writing the entire the ET. That will update the rights and privileges. Tish is stating for proctor passwords for all MSVCC. Christians stated its not just easy to click link, Ive would have to create a new coding. d. Keri Coles stated that instructors can see all the proctored passwords at their schools and needs to be removed. e. Audra Leverton under the proctor listing roster individual instructors so proctor can check roster.
