Christian also asks for volunteers for registration, volunteers to moderate and do survey evaluations. Christian asks that everyone try to promote the pre- conference on campus. Terry and Christian would like to create a counsel of innovations and e-learning. Nominate top notch instructors across colleges and a separate group. Feedback from top faculty to start sharing information with other instructors. Jennifer Leimer asked how the instructor or faculty member will be selected to become part of the eLearning group. Still up for debate. f. Sherry Ross at USM is trying to create a statewide Blackboard User Group. She is trying to setup a meeting during CFTTC. g. Christian stated that the new withdrawal behavior mirrors the online courses with the traditional students. h. RFP SharePoint is a potential replacement for outcomes. Christian spoke with Patrick and came up with an idea where we can keep the Outcomes for those institutions that would like to keep Outcomes. Negotiations are in progress. Christian stated that we have 1 year left on the Academic Suite and Blackboard needs to change the pricing on Outcomes. Christian stated that there will be no cost for those institutions that decide to keep outcomes. i. Derrix asked if there will be any options for a different LMS. Jennifer Leimer stated it could cause frustration with faculty members. j. Christian asked what are other issues outside of Presidium and Bb course copy? Christian stated that those who use templates need to send those that didn’t copy correctly to him for copy. Give him a heads up. During Import/Export please do not continue to hit submit. Stop getting in the habit with rolling the same content, not only is it important for Blackboard but for course quality. Christian stated that BB will run and restart database more. Tish asked if it would help if we stagger course copy. k. Christian asked if we should rethink snapshot running three times a day and run it less? Christian suggested running less frequently after the 1st or 3 rd week of class, he feels it will take a load off the system. Christian stated that snapshot does not run on the weekends, causing an issue for some schools. l. Terry Pollard - Adding and modifying tabs and modules. i. Would like to have 3 volunteers for pre-conference for lightning round speakers. Presentations must be submitted at the February meeting. ii. Academy Courses- will appear this week. Terry stated that the upgrade will provide better information with explaining the courses. iii. eLearning Training Group met – passed out serial number for Articulate. If you are interested let him know. Blackboard help and support link will be added inside the reimbursement waiting on Cellular South to provide sponsorship. c. Readi Assessment – moving forward with Readi assessment.
