Online Fees and Withdrawal Fees

Tish Stewart discussed updating the online fee chart that was previously distributed. Jennifer Leimer wants to revisit the topic at the end of the semester to see what affects the changes had on enrollment.

Recalculate Totals

Ive Burnett has added a recalculate totals option to the Enrollment Tool. The statistics on the pages will remain static until the Recalculate Totals button is clicked.

Boot Camp

Boot Camp will be held September 28 through 30 at the Drury Inn and Suites in Ridgeland. The agenda for the meeting was discussed.

New Business

Jackie Bailey-Hall reported that she will no longer serve as the DLC for MS Delta. She is moving to a position in their admissions office. Lilly Land will be the new DLC.

The group discussed obtaining prices for Netop software.

Blackboard still does not display the users’ name. (Example: Welcome Julia Parker) The group had hoped that this option would be available with the dissolution of the Identity Manager.

ET Repository Course ID/Bb Course ID

DLCs were asked to stress to the faculty that they enter Test IDs and passwords exactly the same as entered in Blackboard. DLCs are asked to be careful when building the courses in the Enrollment Tool. Please list the course number in the Enrollment Tool exactly as it is in your SIS.

SBCJC Business

 SBCJC has created a new eLearning Department. Christian Pruett and Terry Pollard’s offices are no longer under the Academic Department.  The Smarthinking contract has been approved. The DLCs have been asked to start promoting the service on their campuses. It is open to MSVCC and traditional students.  State Board is working towards paying the entire cost of the READI assessment.  The Blackboard 9.1 student orientation course is still in progress. Hopefully, it will be ready before the beginning of the fall semester.
