Nevskaya City Hall administrative and business complex is one of the most ambitious

projects, which has been implemented in recent years in the central part of St. Petersburg.

Composed of several separate buildings, tied into an integrated cluster at the corner

of Degtyarny Lane and Novgorodskaya Street, the administrative and public-business

complex is designed to accommodate the Saint Petersburg’s Government Committees,

as well as headquarters of various commercial companies. Such a tight-knit community

of the executive authorities and business will pull the surrounding territory out of its

depressive state and radically change the urban development situation in this part

of St. Petersburg. The block is laid out in a gridiron pattern. All the buildings included

in the complex are connected by landscaped public open space and pedestrian

circulation space, which are comfortable both for the tenants and for St. Petersburg

residents and visitors. A glass dome, crowning the new building of the city administration,

is the dominant feature of the whole ensemble.
