Lastly, let’s get the club buttoned up for the winter. Rear-Commodore’s Comments Rear Commodore, Bill Calihan Well here we are with just two island events left on the calendar, both are ISLAND CLOSING. Where has the year gone? Congratulations to all of the new board members and Rear Commodore for success at the ballot box, I look forward to working with all of you. Financial Report Treasurer, Brian Fringer Thanked all the directors for getting the September numbers out. Transferred money from the main bank account to the emergency account. Expenses are coming in. Taxes were paid in September. Big expenses coming up this year are the new seawall and fuel from Balfours. MOTION: Moved by Scott Greenfelder and seconded by Tom Altobelli to approve the Financial Report. Motion Carried ABYA Report P/C Pat Carroll Getting 4 lighted buoys in the North Channel, with more to follow. Correspondence All None CURRENT BUSINESS Activities – Tom Martin $13267 profit for this year against $9000 in expenses. Clubhouse – Scott Greenfelder Hoping all will support closing down the club. First work party is this Saturday followed by the Fat-In. The water will be shutoff the following week. Glenn Nixon asked if Scott found someone to clean out the fryers? Commodore Pagel said Tom the cook has offered to clean them. Harbor & Grounds Tom Altobelli Contacted B and D Electric Supply to get a quote for new pedestals for the docks (last quote was in 2017 at about $783 each). Discussed the configuration of them (10 pedestals). Ask Brian Fringer if he can order them now? Also, trying to get samples for chairs for the island. Marine contractor has still not showed up to put in 2 ice clusters and 2 new pilings. Would like one piling at the Fin dock and one at the island. Tom mentioned concern from pilings shearing off early from being prematurely rotten. Lastly, he discussed getting samples of the proposed plastic decking as opposed to real wood for the new docks. The plastic docks will not have any film on top. Brian asked when the ice cluster expense is coming in? Tom thinks first or second week of November. $2500 apiece for the ice clusters.
