heard these new talents?

Beatles, to Nick Cave and Bowie. Everything Everything (also here for Splendour) follow their smash up ARC album with Get to Heaven, produced by Stuart Price (Madonna, Zoot Woman). Tori Kelly (right) is a talent to watch: the 22-year- old Californian found fame making songs in her bedroom and posting them online; her new album features Ed Sheeran and LL Cool J. City Calm Down 's single Rabbit Run has been a massive breakthrough for the Melbourne four-piece, so if you like pop that collides in all kinds of colours, hear them – and all this great new music - on JB HI-Fi NOW.

T here is just so much new music to hear right now! It's a great problem to have, isn't it? Leon Bridges (see below) is one out of the box: his Coming Home album is one of the releases of the year – soulful, smooth, melodic and just doesn't put a dancing foot wrong. Wolf Alice are another pack of cheeky young talents from Camden Town, London (the area that produced Kitty, Daisy and Lewis). They'll be here for Splendour in the Grass, and one UK music rag called My Love is Cool "the debut album of the decade." No pressure, then. Their influences are classic: from The Velvets and The

Leon Bridges Coming Home

Josh Pyke's fifth album gleaned inspiration from a rather original place: a scam inventor from 1812 called Charles Redheffer, Josh Pyke But for All These Shrinking Hearts who claimed to have invented a perpetual motion machine (see album cover below). Produced by John Castle (Megan Washington) But for All These Shrinking Hearts came to fruition after Pyke overcame a long bout of writer's block. The cure? One Bruce Springsteen...

Refused Freedom

Silky old style soul, in the vein of Sam Cooke or Percy Sledge, is the name of the game for Leon Bridges. It's not nostalgic or any pale imitation though: this young singer is his own man and his own talent. While his voice is the undoubted star of this album, and his guitar work is sharp and sweet, Bridges is also a trained dancer and choreographer.

Refused are legendary for several reasons, namely their epoch- defining album The Shape of Punk to Come, in 1998, and their fervent declaration that they'd never, ever get back together. Well, to the absolute

Kevin Parker has done the full Stevie Wonder/ Prince one-man in the studio wonder job with

Currents. Fresh from working with Mark Ronson, producing his mates Pond and touring the world, Parker has turned his pop maestro's touch to this shimmering new psychedelic intergalactic cruise control on this vault through the pop star system, and he's taking inspiration from the entire universe of music, from '70s funk to homages to Daft Punk. Hear it! popwave of Tame Impala shockwaves. Parker's on

consternation of their fans, here they are again in 2015. Freedom acknowledges

the weight of the past, and branches out in all kinds of new directions, hence the album title. Contains the provocatively titled single Dawkins Christ.
