The trailer promises a mash-up of T1 and T2, complete with Schwarzenegger, a liquid metal Terminator, reimagined sequences from the first two movies, and a shot of Arnie's original arrival. Word is that Genisys is set in an alternate timeline, so how cool would it be to have a Back to the Future 2 -like scenario, interacting with the events of The Terminator . After four years and much anticipation, the boys are finally back in town.

T here’s a sense that creator/director Doug Ellin should have struck while the iron was still hot, but fans will easily slip back into the Hollywood party lifestyle of Vincent Chase (Adrian Grenier) and his buddies, while newcomers are given a potted history of the characters from Piers Morgan – the first of more celebrity cameos than a decade of The Simpsons . Picking up several months after the series’ finale, Vince is making his directing debut and also starring in a mega-budget remake of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (as a superhero DJ, no less) for agent-turned-studio-head Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven). Eric, aka E (Kevin Connolly) is producing; the now svelte Turtle (Jerry Ferrara) is a tequila millionaire; and Vince’s brother, Johnny Drama (Kevin Dillon), is where he’s always been – living in his famous sibling’s shadow. Vince’s “masterpiece” has been stalled by the need for more money, however hick Texan investors Billy Bob Thornton and Hayley Joel Osment are unhappy with the movie and are demanding changes, including cutting Drama’s supporting role. Needless to say, this triggers ample Ari Gold gold, as he attempts to intervene. Behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing was a huge part of the series’ appeal, but in the movie it plays second fiddle to less interesting character subplots. Ellin seems to have forgotten this is a film, not season nine, and most of these fail to pay off. Who cares if E and pregnant ex-girlfriend Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) get back together, or if Turtle gets lucky with MMA fighter Ronda Rousey. We want to see Vince’s movie being made, and of course, more Ari Gold and Lloyd. The winning

camaraderie between Vince and his entourage that made the show so good has also gone AWOL here – it’s like attending a school reunion where you find the friends you used to like have now turned into rich jerks. Only Drama’s neverending struggle to be taken seriously still strikes a chord. As in the series, it’s Piven’s motormouth exec who steals the show, from his predictably explosive marriage counselling sessions to his constant put-downs of gay ex-PA Lloyd (Rex Lee), who’s getting married and wants Ari to give him away. Hayley Joel Osment’s redneck oaf is also a highlight: the Sixth Sense boy wonder is currently on the comeback trail following this and Tusk – now fat, hairy and sleazy, he’s suddenly become interesting, and he’s great here. Although meandering and self-indulgent, Entourage the movie gives the characters the fitting send-off the series finale didn’t (the film was already in the planning stages in 2011) and fans exactly what they expect, namely another hefty dose of Hollywood hedonism.
