Foodservice Update

Pizza Expo Our partnership with Sysco continued to grow and pay off at the Pizza Expo this March in Las Vegas. We were able to progress several new areas of business and introduce Sysco to new processors where they clearly display evidence of our growing partnership.

Chef Vito, from CMAB’s Real Maker’s campaign was in our stand demonstrating how to make an appetizer pizza with a cheese “crust”. He was at the show competing in the Pizza Contest during the first day and it was a natural fit to bring him into our booth during the second day.

U.S. Foods Thanks to a great job working behind the scenes, Nancy Campbell’s hard work and Mike Gallagher’s oversite paid off for CDI, as they successfully landed 9 million pounds of new business with one of Nancy’s key accounts, U.S. Foods. This will encompass CA, NV, UT, CO and AZ and will include 8 items, including 2 bulk 25 kilo butters, 2 solids (salted and unsalted), 1 European Style Butter, a 5 lb. Whipped Butter and 2 different pack sizes of the tabletop continental chips in foil wrap. CDI’s representative for foodservice pointed out that it was definitely the CMAB’s “cherry on top” that made the difference in locking up this client that they have been after for years.
