FCIAAO ANNUAL CONFERENCE - ST PETERSBURG | MAY 2019

Our 32nd Annual Conference was a great success in sunny St. Petersburg at the Hilton Bayfront. With nearly 300 attendees, 30 Property Appraisers, and 30 vendors, the week was busy, informative, and fun. Prior to the Conference, Vice President Pat Alesandrini, MAI, SRA, CAE, RES, CFE of Hillsborough County taught IAAO Workshop 181 - the 7-hour National USPAP update. We were also excited to offer a popular 4 hour seminar, Valuation Resources for Solar Photovoltaic Systems, taught by Sandra Ad- montis, SRA, LEED Green Associate, CDEI. Wednesday’s General Session included a welcome from the Honorable Mike Twitty, Pinellas County Property Appraiser, who entertained us all with a song written especially for the Conference titled “The PAO Will Survive”. The Board switched things up a bit this year for the Welcome Reception and brought it off-site for the first time ever. Attendees were able to enjoy the German food hall and brew house, the Hofbrauhaus, while networking with their peers. Thank you to Thomson Reuters for once again sponsoring this great event! Thursday was filled with informative presentations and introduced our newest track, the Administra- tive track. We look forward to bringing more admin topics to our members in the future! All presen- tations are available to FCIAAO Members through the Members Link/Presenter Materials section of our website. This year we presented 32 Tony Hodge Awards to FCIAAO Members who received their IAAO Profes- sional Designation, a new record! To see a complete list of the Tony Hodge recipients turn to page 17 . Thanks to our numerous sponsors we were able to provide swag bags, a Welcome Reception on Wednesday, Beverage Breaks throughout the conference, and entertainment at the banquet and Presi- dent’s Party. Thank you to all who attended this year! We hope everyone enjoyed the conference and will continue to attend, learn, network and hopefully get involved with the Chapter. We are always looking for vol- unteers, presenters, committee members and board members.
