Vai s e nhuu s , The Orphan’s Asyl um, was founded in the year 1727 and inlended for the education of father- and mother- less childrcn. The Institution has a liouse of its own in Kjøbmagergade No. 44, where more than 200 childrcn enjoy a very careful in­ struction. Until 1795 the childrcn had their lnaintenanee liere , bul their number dayly inereasing it was resolved lliat they sliould be provided for in town at the expense of the Institution. Det kgl. The school was originally inlen­ ded for 225 boys , who have free instruction, clothing and food until after confirmation wlien the managers of the Institution lake care of apprenticing them.
