Doors open at half past 6. The Royal Conrt Theatre, siluatc on the left of the riding-ground above the stabling of Christiansborg Palace, is a pretty and rather spacious theatre. It conlains the pit, the stall and two tiers of boxes. In 1851 a magnifl- ccnl box for the royal family and two for the courticrs werc built; the first oppositc the scene, the otliers on eacli side of the theatre. This theatre, capable of holding about 800 spcctators, is supported out of the King’s Civil last, and is chiefly used for concerls given by foreign artist to whom it is allowed gratis. The Casino, a splendid, magnificcntly ar- ranged building in Amaliegade, was established in the year 1846 from the designs of the ar- chitect S t i l l i ng , for the aecount of a joint- stoek company and under the management of Georg Carstenscn.
