in line with physiological conditions, yields higher DF values for RS 4 (Figures 4 and 5, page 19). Replacement of the Waters Sugar-Pak ® column with the TOSOH TSK ® gel permeation columns has resolved the problems associated with chromatography of F3 (Figure 6, page 20); and the shorter incubation time removes the need to include sodium azide in the incubation buffer. Furthermore, incubation with the higher levels of PAA and AMG used in the RINTDF procedure gives the same SDFS values for NDO preparations as is obtained with AOAC Method 2009.01 (Figure 7, page 20 and Table 2, page 22).
