OMBUD COUNCIL ANNUAL REPORT 2024/25
PART D: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
REASONS FOR STAFF LEAVING No staff members left the Ombud Council for any reason during the financial year.
LABOUR RELATIONS: MISCONDUCT AND DISCIPLINARY ACTION No disciplinary action was required to be taken during the financial year, and no labour relations matters arose.
EQUITY TARGET AND EMPLOYMENT EQUITY STATUS The Employment Equity status of the Ombud Council as at the end of the financial year was one white female, three African males, two Indian females and two African females. The organisation does not have any staff members with disabilities. Due to the small staff complement, the Ombud Council’s Employment Equity targets as contained in the APP in relation to race only distinguished between white and non-white employees, without being further broken down into designated groups. Tables below, therefore, reflect targets for these groups as zero. The Ombud Council did however adopt a somewhat more granular Employment Equity Plan in the course of the year under review, effective from September 2024,
and future reports will report against these more detailed targets Table 17: Equity Target And Employment Equity Status – Males
