are in individual EU member states. There are 193,686 charging points in the entire EU, of which 76% are found in just four countries. It appears from the data that almost every EU member state with a number of charging points less than one per 100km of road network has a market share of electric vehicles smaller than one percent. In the case of the Czech Republic, the share of electric vehicles in new passenger car sales is 0.4%, which is one of the lowest shares in the EU. Nevertheless, the Czech Republic is not lagging so much in the number of charging points, and ranks at number thirteen in the EU. Currently it has 1,049 charging points available. In the future, one can expect that there will be pressure to increase that number.
