Предложение в рамках конкурса по про- грамме «Моя улица» на концепцию для главной улицы города — Тверской осно- вано на простой, но важной идее: нехо- рошо заниматься только одной улицей в городе, даже если она главная. Вместо очевидного решения — акцентирования продольных связей, бюро предлагает сделать упор на поперечных. Проект на- зывается «Другая сторона» — связь про- тивоположных сторон, пешеходная, ви- зуальная, смысловая позволит ресурсам, которые вкладываются в развитие горо- да, в этой точке перетекать далее, захва- тывая всё больше пространств города.

The Tverskaya avenue redesign concept, proposed within the framework of the “My Street” program’s competition, is based on a simple yet important idea: no good will come of taking care of only one street in the city, even if it’s the city’s main street. Instead of the obvious solution of emphasizing the avenue’s longitudinal ties the Bureau pro- poses to focus on the cross-linking ones. The project is called “The Other Side”, meaning the linking of opposite sides, pedestrian traf- fic-wise, visually, semantically, which would allow the resources invested in the city’s de- velopment at this point to flow further, cov- ering ever larger portions of the downtown.
