Travel by Experience – Culture and Living History Come and discover CAMI’s historic complex , where the history of the English-speaking community comes to life in the heart of Old Harry. The Little Red School House , will transport you back to the days when village students all gathered under one roof to learn their lessons. The Veterans’ exhibit will tell you about the memory and role of the English and French-speaking inhabitants of the Magdalen Islands who served in the First and Second World Wars, as well as the Korean war. Once on-site, take advantage of one of our guided tours with historical and culinary themes to discover what lies at the heart of the traditions and cultures of the people who live here. Before you leave, we invite you to enter the bakery and discover homemade dishes and products in the tradition of the Anglophone community from the Magdalen Islands. Far removed from the main archipelago of the Magdalen Islands, Entry Island is often referred to as The Pearl of the St. Lawrence Gulf. In the middle of this tiny pastoral island is the Entry Island Historical Museu m, which houses the history of the local culture, built heritage and ancestral traditions of a small community dating back over two hundred years. Together with a collection assembled, thanks to the generosity of its island inhabitants, and dedicated to the interpretation and preservation of Entry Island’s rich history.
