 Carefully lift the hopper assembly from the base and place on a suitable surface (ensure to follow manual handling policy as Hopper weighs 19kg)  Remove the abrasive disc  Using a stiff scrubbing brush and hot soapy manual pot wash detergent solution scrub both sides of the disc ensuring that any build up of peel waste and starch is removed and rinse  Check condition of disc as worn or damaged disc may require replacement  Clean down the area where the abrasive disc is located with detergent and yellow cloth. Apply sanitiser and leave for one minute, wipe with paper roll.

Cleaning the Hopper

 Invert the Hopper assembly and place on a suitable surface (ensure to follow manual handling policy as Hopper weighs 19kg)  Using a stiff scrubbing brush clean the internal surface with a hot soapy manual pot wash detergent solution ensuring to remove any build up of starch or peel  Using detergent clean the external surface using a yellow cloth. Apply sanitiser and leave for one minute- wipe over with paper towel

Ensure to clean the base and legs of the peeler with detergent and scourer with a yellow cloth and ensure waste water pipes are kept clean in the same way
