Most respondents (50%) stated that the critical incidents had academic consequences (Figure 8). The impact on the educational process was evident in the deterioration of relations with other students or professors and in low academic performance. A large proportion of the respondents (almost 50%) mentioned discrimination as one of the consequences following critical incidents.

Regarding the frequency with which respondents encountered critical incidents, the vast majority (65%) stated they occurred 2–5 times during their studies at the university. Only five respondents stated it happened once, while one said “never” (Figure 9).
