ART SCENE

In Perspective: The Graceful World of Japanese Art

By H.ARTS COLLECTIVE

The Graceful World of Japanese Art is an exploration of grace and elegance, conveyed through the finest abstract works of six established artists from Singapore, China and Japan.

Part I of the exhibition features the distinct artistic expressions of Zhou Hao (China), Kukoku Tamura (Japan) and Kimiko Yoshimi (Japan), collectively illustrating the traditional approaches of sumi artwork – minimalist and conceptual, with a touch of contemporary. Part II covers a wide range of Japanese approaches to art, showcasing the unique styles of Usami Kuninori (Japan), Nakazawa Shinichi (Japan) and Zestro Leow (Singapore), whose styles and mediums are diverse and include the traditional use of shimmering gold and silver foil on paintings.
