PERSONAL TRAINING The Community Center is excited to offer one-on-one and small group personal training to help you achieve your goals. Certified personal trainers will design a safe and effective program, individualized to each client’s needs, abilities and goals. Personal training sessions are 55 minutes. COMMUNITY CENTER FITNESS

Brad G. has been personal training and teaching group fitness classes since 2004 and is a specialist in strength and conditioning. He is a strong supporter of Fit for Life and trains with an emphasis on good form and technique. Heather L. has been a personal trainer and group exercise instructor for more than 11 years. She has a specialty in orthopedic fitness and an interest in injury prevention, management and rehabilitation, functional training and athletic training. Kurt P. has been a personal trainer for more than 11 years. His areas of interest include sports-specific training, youth athletes and weight loss. LindsyW. is a certified personal trainer, RYT-200 yoga teacher and group fitness and aquatics instructor. Her areas of interest include form and posture, core strength, balance, flexibility, weight loss, toning and strength training and stress reduction. Marya J. has been teaching and training in the Shakopee area for 18 years. Her areas of interest include weight loss, toning, flexibility, injury rehab and mind-body practices. Paul G. is certified personal trainer and corrective exercise specialist. His areas of interest include form and posture, core strength, balance, flexibility, weight loss, toning and strength training, mind/body and stress reduction. Trixie A. has been involved in fitness for the last 14 years and is a NASM-certified personal trainer. Her areas of interest include balance, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance and functional strength.

SUMMER BOOK CLUB AND FITNESS Shakopee Community Center welcomes you to join our summer book club! Whether you are an avid reader or just want a good read this summer, join us for fun, fitness and camaraderie. Book Club meetings will be held at the Shakopee Community Center inside or outdoors depending on weather. Class will begin with 30 minutes of yoga and/ or general fitness appropriate for all levels, followed by 30 minutes of book discussion. Participants are encouraged to continue their discussions if they choose by walking on the nearby trails or by using the fitness track. Participants must provide their own books.
