Last September, Tyson and Danielle Geister said their "I do"s overlooking the Minnesota River. The fairy-tale-like arches of the Huber Park amphitheater, large stairway and wide- open space were exactly what Danielle had imagined for her outdoor ceremony. And the more practical amenities—built-in seating, restrooms, parking, playground— gave her piece of mind. "Huber Park was exactly the outdoor setting we were looking for," Danielle said. "It helped that the covered pavilion was also included so we had a backup if it rained." With its scenic setting and close proximity to downtown venues, Huber Park is a popular choice for couples looking for an outdoor wedding experience.

When the ceremony is over, it's time to get the party started. Consider hosting your wedding reception at the Community Room at the Shakopee Community Center. The large, open-space fits approximately 180 guests and includes a dance floor, fireplace and wall of natural lights. The Community Room also has a full catering kitchen.
