A new era began for the San Diego women's soccer pro– gram when the Toreros named Ada Greenwood the third head coach in USD's storied twelve-year history. Green– wood, USD's top assistant for the past five seasons, is a proven winner, helping San Diego reach four consecutive NCAA College Cup Tournaments and post a 66-30-5 record during his tenure at USD. Greenwood's head coaching ex– perience is highlighted by helping the San Diego Surf U-18, U-17 and U-12 club soccer programs receive regional, state and national recognition. Greenwood guided the Surf U-17 team to the 2000 National Championship. Greenwood graduated from Dominican College in 1997 after completing a stellar three-year career at the NAIA power. Greenwood was an NAIA All-American forward and the leading goal-scorer in the Independent Confer– ence, ending his career with 39 goals and 41 assists. straight NorCal Titles from 1993-97. Greenwood's club experience also includes directing the Marin Red Rockers in Northern California. A native of England, Greenwood grew up in Southend in Essex County on the outskirts of London. He played soccer at Eastwood High School and also played tennis.
