PEP BAND School spirit is the key to what the USD Pep Band is all about. ThePep Band is made up of a group ofstudents who devote their time and musical ability to create excitement and promote school spirit. PHI ALPHA DELTA One of the newestorganizations on the USD campusis the Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Society. P.A.D. has the distinction of being one of the onlysuch organizations established nation­ wide. Phi Alpha Delta is directed towards assisting and orga­ nizing those students who are considering a career inthe legal profession. Although still in its infancy, Phi Alpha Delta has accom­ plished agreat dealin providing services for the prelaw stu­ dent, such as the creation f a pre-law reference guide, L.S.A.T. course evaluation and a presentation of the basic L.S.A.T. format. Phi Alpha Delta h s also co-sponsored the Pacific Pre- Law Conference held annuallyat UCSD. PHI KAPPA THETA

The credo of Phi Kappa ThetaFraternity, with c apters at 53 colleges and universities in the U.S., emphasizes dedication to the principlesof social and moral responsibility, as well as loyalty to the principles of Higher Education. The Phi Kaps, as usual, wereinvolved in many activities on campus. They pro­ duced the Dial, the consistently unique Talent Show, the Greek M*A*S*H*B*A*S*H, and Casino Night. Before their unfortunate demise, the T.G.'swere kept orderly,clean, and fun by the guys with their traditional spirit. The brothers were heavily involved in the Orientation and Rush programs.
