We have the solemn duty to train fearless and well-equipped Catholic leadership for tomorrow, and also to relieve the suffering of the helpless. To achieve these ends, our University Foundation Fund includes the fol- lowing eight objectives:

1. A sound collegiate education (liberal arts) available to all.
2. Adequate high school facilities.
3. Rockne Academy of Technical Arts at El Cajon where young men can qualify as carpenters, plumbers, steam fitters, elec- tricians, and other useful craftsmen. 4. St. Francis Junior Seminary where native vocations can be encouraged and culti- vated. 5. A Major Seminary to train learned and zealous priests for our own missionary field. 6. Dormitories for boys and girls at Banning, where the Franciscan Fathers and the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet pro- vide a home and education for orphans of all colors and creeds.
7. The erection of a modern day nursery for our Bayside Social Center.
8. A building to house Guadalupe Clinic for those in need of medical care.
