Bishop Buddy To Bless Statue Most Rev. Charles Francis Buddy, D.D., Bishop of the San Diego Diocese, will bless the new statue of Our Lady of Fatima at the Na- tional Catholic Community Service Club, 925 First Ave., at 3 p.m. to- morrow. Following the ceremonies, ,the .statue will be placed in the Clubs shrine room. Charles K. Sweetman, chairman of the N. C. C. S. optrating com- mittee, will be ma;st.er of cere- monies. Assisting wilt-be Miss Ruth Jerkins, Wesley Lewis, men of the House Council and women of the Ave Maria Society. The Club, operated under aus- pices of the national organization and Bishop Buddy, was opened in January to serve "cultural educa- tional, social and religiou~ needs of the men in the defense forces," Sweetman said. Miss Agnes Dona- hue, former director of the Old Town U. S. 0.-N. C. C. S. Club, is executive secretary. Mrs. Flor- ence Cochran is assistant executive secretary, and Miss Elizabeth Knapp ai:id Mrs. Ruth Ritchey, pro- gram assistants.
