NEW CHURCH TO BE BUILT IN EL CENTRO EL CENTRO - During his re– cent trip to Imperial Valley the Most Reverend Bishop, with the Rev. Denis J. Barry, pastor, of St. Mary's church here, studied the need of a new church to provide for the fast growing Mexican population of this district. Father Barry has purchased sufficient land and construction will start as soon as building re– strictions are lifted. To date a name has not been assigned to the new parish which will be built south of the railroad tracks, not only removing the hazard ):mt making it more convenient for people to attend devotions and Holy Mass. that a resident pastor would be appoint– ed to the new compound. New Otay Church To Be Dedicated OTA y _ The Most Reverend Bishop of San Diego will officiate at the dedication of the new church of Our Lady of Guadalupe at 3 p.m., Sunday, Mar. 10. New Parish in Loma Portal Begins With Masses in Theater LOMA PORTAL - Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph N. Trivisonno has been appointed administrator of the newly formed parish of St. Charles Borromeo here. Distin– gui~hed for his organizing and , construction talents, Msgr. Trivi– sonno has already leased a home at 3015 Locust street, within one block of the Loma theater. The church site proper ls still under consideration. Theater Grants Favor Fox , West Coast Theatres, through the courtesy of Richard Smith, Jr., district manager, has granted the Church, through Msgr. Trivisonno, permission to use the I Loma theater for Mass temporar– ily. Masses will start Sunday Mar 3 and will be offered at 8 and 10 a'.m. Ample parking space is as– sured on both sides of the the– ater.
