Chapter 15 Reaching Heaven Reception

APPROXIMATELY 65 AD EARTH TIME

The spirits of Peter and Paul, having left behind their pitiful, desecrated bodies for burial in Rome, now appear at heaven’s radiant gate! They are dressed in glistening white garments, clean and bright. Their spiritual bodies radiate perfect health, or more accurately, “resurrection life”—free of bruises, rat bites, vermin, lashings, stonings and other earth happenings. As they gaze in wonder at their dazzling garments, Rufus the Centurion makes his appearance, clothed in white just as they are. The miracle happened: “Absent from the body, present with the Lord.” They all look so good! Friends galore from many places greet the beloved apostles and each other! The six original apostles who had been martyred before Peter and Paul are the first to embrace the newly arrived saints! Surrounded by martyrs and saints from the Early Christian Era, Paul and Peter are carried—on the shoulders of the other martyred apostles—to the heavenly throne room amid the thunderous praise of innumerable angelic and human voices.
