Sumudu Thanthirigoda was recognized
as “Young Achiever of the Year” at the
Chief Marketing Officer Asia global brand
excellence awards 2015 in Singapore.
Sumudu, general manager of marketing at
ACL Cables PLC, was presented with the
award in recognition of his contribution
to the disciplines of brand building and
marketing in Sri Lanka.
ACL Cables is believed to be the largest
cable manufacturer in Sri Lanka, with over
70 percent market share, and a pioneer in
Sri Lanka’s cable industry since 1962.
Sumudu holds a BSc engineering honors
degree from the University of Moratuwa,
where he specialized in electrical
engineering. He is also a qualified member
of the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing,
and holds an MBA from University of Wales.
Marketing award
Taiwan-based Lorom is continuing its
expansion, following a surge in demand
for intelligent cable and system design,
and has welcomed Paul Havick in the
capacity of northwest territory manager.
“Paul provides a high level of experience
in complex cable and connector designs.
We are fortunate to integrate him into our
continued growing west coast team. His
efforts will support our growing customer
trends and enhance our global design-
to-manufacturing company model,” said
