Amphenol's high vibration brush is designed

towithstand vibrations of at least 53.8 grms at

8 hours per axis and 2,000Hz. It can be used

for all signal applications including in-lines,

sensors, fuel systems, and control modules,

and for on-engine applications and fixed

positions where high vibration fret resistance

and environmental performance is critical

to function.

The AHVB terminal series exhibits zero fretting

andcan handle up to 100,000matingcycles.

It also has low insertion forces (70 to 90

percent lower than traditional connectors),

resulting in smaller footprints, higher I/O

counts and less maintenance. The AHVB

connection systems are rated IP67 when

mated and are designed to pass SAE J2030

validation.

Entry level labels

Silver Fox, the UK manufacturer of cable

labels, has launched an updated range

of thermal starter pack – the Fox-In-A-Box

labelling kit. Included in the Silver Fox kit is the

Labacus Innovator

®

standard label software;

a DTP-1/300 thermal printer; thermal printer

ribbon; and all necessary printer leads.

The kit is designed for users who simply need

to cut and paste information and then print

the cable labels. Should more features be

required, a seamless upgrade path from the

Advanced to Professional levels is available.

Whatever the level of software, and

whichever cable labels need printing, it

is always the same printer with the same

ribbon. All levels of software have internal

videos, fromwhich the user can quickly learn

how to run the software.

Sheathing compound

Saco AEI Compounds has launched its

SX-0606 moisture-cure, silane crosslinkable

sheathing compound, to meet specification

NEK606 for offshore installations. SX-0606 has

been developed for easy processingwith fast

line speed and excellent cable surface finish.

SX-0606 is a flexible, low-smoke and fume,

sheathing compound for the offshore gas

and oil industry, marine and related industrial

cabling systems. In enclosed environments

such as those in shipboard and offshore

(OPG) marine installations, SX-0606’s zero-

halogen low-smoke, fume and fire retardant

properties contribute to crewand passenger

safety. SX-0606 is also suitable for use in

heavy industrial applications and hostile

environments where abrasion resistance is

required.

Paired with flexible SX-554 EPR insulation

and high LOI bedding compound, SX-0606

sheathed cables meet the highest fire

retardant and oil resistance performance

requirements while exhibiting rubber-like

flexibility and excellent cable surface

finish. SX-0606 HFFR compound is currently

available in pre-colored black to meet UV

resistance requirements, but is also available

in natural and pre-colored formats.
