Target volumes – overlaps

Overlapping volumes requires:

Very clear objective setting
➢
Good communication between clinician & planner
Dialogue (i.e. 2 way communication) is recommended !
➢
Use the optimiser to deliver different doses to different parts
of the target
➢
May make assessment of plan using DVH for the PTV more
difficult
