The Off-Line ERW solution uses phased array technology
to inspect weld seams and the heat-affected zone (HAZ) of
electrical resistance welded (ERW) tubes.
•
A “Hybrid” solution providing combined weld-seam and full-
body inspection with the same inspection head.
•
Wide sector coverage of the weld seam and the HAZ with
constant amplitude using only one PA probe on each side of
the weld (eliminating the need for weld tracking).
•
Automatic radial positioning of the probe according to the
pipe thickness.
•
Multiple inspection mode capability with the same PA probe
(45°, 60°, 70°, 45 tandem, etc.).
•
Optimized detection of each ID, mid-wall, and OD defect
type.
•
Very short untested length at the ends of the tube.
